Manage organization members

Invite your team to the organization and choose which sites they can access. This is done in the Console. To manage your application's own users, see Site users.

  1. Open the organization, then Members or Invitations.
  2. Select Invite people and identify the invitee.
  3. Under Groups, select exactly one group. A group is required:
    • ADMIN grants access to all sites and organization settings, so the per-site selector is hidden and any earlier site selection is cleared.
    • MEMBER grants only the sites selected below and requires at least one site before the invitation can be sent.
  4. Under Site Access, select Add Site. In Add Site Access, choose the existing sites. Each selected site receives the default view_site and access_site permissions.
  5. Select Send Invitation. In Invitations, verify the row is Pending with the intended group and sites. Use Resend invitation only while it is pending; once accepted, the row is Accepted and resend is unavailable.
  6. After acceptance, open Members and edit the member when Groups or Site Access must change. Select Save Changes, re-open the member, and verify the selected group and site access. Then check the member's access in each affected site.

If a duplicate invitee is rejected, distinguish an existing member from a pending invitation and correct that Console record. If group or site synchronization is missing, preserve the intended selections, retry the member update, and follow troubleshooting before issuing another invitation.

Confirm member removal
  • Affected resource and cascade: Confirm the member and organization/site access that will be removed. Users remain on sites they created, and superusers remain on all sites.
  • Reversibility: Remove Member ends the organization membership; it does not restore prior site access automatically.
  • Authorization: Confirm the selected organization and that you are allowed to make this change.
  • Backup or export: Note the member's current group and site access.
  • Confirmation: In Remove Member, confirm the username, leave superuser-only Also delete the user from other organizations unchecked for an organization-only removal, then select Remove. Global deletion is excluded from this guide.
  • Success response and postcondition: Removal can report success even if cleanup fails on some sites, so check each affected site and confirm the member is gone from Members.
  • Recovery: If cleanup is incomplete, contact TaruviBase support before reinviting the member with the right Site Access.

Select Remove only after these controls.

Confirm invitation deletion
  • Affected resource and cascade: Confirm the pending invitee and selected sites.
  • Reversibility: Delete removes the pending acceptance path.
  • Authorization: Confirm the selected organization and that you are allowed to make this change.
  • Backup or export: Note the invitee's email, group, and sites.
  • Confirmation: Confirm the exact invitation with Delete.
  • Success response and postcondition: Verify it is absent from Invitations and its token is rejected.
  • Recovery: Use Invite people to send a new invitation.

Select Delete only after these controls.

For unresolved membership or synchronization failures, see troubleshooting.
