Resource lifecycle and deletion

Disabling, restoring, and permanently deleting are different operations. Disable a resource when you may need it again; delete it only when you are sure you won't.

Apps​

  • Disable an app to take it out of normal use. It disappears from the app list and its data tables become inactive, but nothing is deleted.
  • Restore a disabled app to reactivate the app and its data tables.
  • Delete an app to permanently remove it together with its data tables and their records, and the other resources it owns. You must confirm the deletion, and it cannot be undone.
App deletion is permanent

Deleting an app removes its data. Export anything you need first, and confirm you are deleting the right app on the right site.

Organizations​

Deleting an organization is permanent. It removes the organization's sites and everything in them, its memberships and invitations, and user accounts that don't belong to another organization.

Organization deletion is permanent

Before deleting an organization, confirm its name and export any data you need. There is no recovery after deletion.
